Student Counselor

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Counselor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students’ emotional and psychological well-being, helping them navigate personal and academic challenges, and promoting a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students.
• Address emotional, social, and behavioral issues that may affect students’ academic performance or well-being.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administration to develop strategies for student success.
• Conduct workshops and seminars on topics related to mental health, stress management, and personal development.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all counseling practices.
• Support the overall pastoral care program of the school.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Proven experience in a counseling role, preferably within an educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to problem-solving.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in – Sinhala and/or Tamil will be an advantage.
