The Under 15 Girls' Badminton team from Lyceum International School Nugegoda emerged 2nd Runners up at the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Tournament 2022. The team was able to secure the 2nd Runners-up in the Super A Division after an extremely competitive performance.

Anujana Pahasarani of Grade 3-G has released a new book, "Anny And Me" an interesting non-fictional story which explains life cycle of a butterfly. She has written this story by adding a value to her own experience. Anujana is an enthusiastic and expressive young writer with excellent performance skills. She is the winner of Universal Letter Writing Competition under the category of Grade 3 and the winner of Virtual Lyceum Art Competition 2021 conducted by Lyceum Nugegoda. Further, she is an inspiring chess player with self confidence.

Yesath Karunarathne of grade 8A has released a new book, ‘Juliet and June’s treasure adventure’, an interesting spooky adventure story about twins who discover a hidden treasure with an exciting ending that may spook you out!!!! Yesath is a talented young writer, who really loves to write stories as well as poems. He is also a good artist who illustrated his own story book. Yesath is a good speaker as well . He got selected as one of the finalists in English best speaker contest in grade 8. His further accomplishments include to publish his second book which he’s still working on.

'Challenge Changers' secured the name of Lyceum Kurunegala for the forth consecutive year while winning the 'Resistance Award' at the Global Goals Competition 2021/22 organized by the Future Foundations in Collaboration with Wellington Leadership Institute, UK. Congratulations Team Challenge Changers!

Dihansa Kodagoda, a student of Grade 8B and a young author recently published her first book - 'Evangelie Livingstone', a work of fiction. Dihansa, who is an enthusiastic writer, has pursued writing as a hobby since she was eight years old. She is also a passionate reader who always enjoyed creating her own stories whenever struck by inspiration.

3rd Place at the Shot -Put event

desxc-Minasi Nathara of Lyceum Kurunegala won the 3rd place ( Shot Put - Girls) at the North - Western Province Inter Sports Club Open Sports Festival organized by the Ministry of Sports. The utmost dedication of the young athlete under the mentoring of her coach is the major reason behind this great achievement. This was another outstanding accomplishment added to the athletic history of Lyceum Kurunegala.

01st Place at the Girls Relay Event

Lyceum Kurunegala Girls Relay team won the 01st place at the North Western Province Inter Sports Club Open Sports Festival organized by the Ministry of Sports. 04 young girl athletes of Lyceum Kurunegala athletic team participated to the event under the guidance of athletic coach. This was another milestone achieved by the Lyceum Kurunegala athletic team.

01st Place at the 100 m sprint event

Gawesha Gagamini of Lyceum Kurunegala for has won the 1st place (100M - Girls) at the North-Western Province Inter Sports Club Open Festival organized by the Ministry of Sports. Among the many other participants came from several prestigious schools around the province, little lyceumer secured the 01st place shinning the Lyceum Kurunegala name above all the other schools.

Lavindu Sohas Premarathna, a student of Lyceum International School, Anuradhapura has won the All Island Championship Under 7 age category in the Sri Lanka Schools’ Chess Association Tournament and is qualified to represent Sri Lanka at the World School Chess Tournament which is to be held in Turkey from 17-27 April. Lavindu has always been in Lyceum Anuradhapura and nurtured there, having joined the school as a lower nursery kid. One year ago, he selected chess as his extracurricular activity and he has been very committed to the game
