History of Lyceum Leaf Schools
Lyceum International School was founded in 1993 with seven students and four teachers by a visionary educator Honourable Dr. Mohan Lal Grero to provide English medium education up to Grade 12. Today, the Lyceum Group of Schools are under the care of Dr. Kumari Grero who functions as the Coordinating Principal. The school is co-educational and also committed to the pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning in Pre-School, Primary and Secondary Schools.

What is LEAF ?
The aim of Lyceum Pre-Primary School programme by Lyceum International Schools is to provide a recognized and quality English medium early childhood education for children in Sri Lanka. This programme is formally known as Leaf Schools Program, which is focused on establishing leaf schools which is an extension of the respective main branch school.
Today, Leaf School Program is one of the fast growing channels in Lyceum International School's branch network, and has been able to expand it's branches to following cities.

Why Lyceum Pre-Primary Education for your child?
A child's Pre-Primary education is the most important years of a human life where the brain develops drastically and constructs a solid foundation of social, emotional and overall well-being. Children who do not gain Pre-Primary education may find it difficult in many areas as they are growing up and fail to reach their full potential. Therefore, responsible parents, prefer selecting a recognized educational institution to build the early stages of their child's life in a well balanced and wholesome manner.
Currently Lyceum International Schools have been able to expand its mother school network from Nugegoda to Wattala, Panadura, Rathnapura, Gampaha, Nuwara-Eliya, Anuradhapura & Kurunegala. The system we have created is to operate and monitor each Leaf School by the closest mother school located in each city. Therefore, we have been able to closely monitor our leaf school branch network with consistent improvements.
Programs at Lyceum Pre-Primary Schools are typically designed for children of 2 1/2 - 5 1/2 Years of age. Right after completing Pre-Primary education children are allowed to join Grade 01 to begin their primary education at Lyceum International School, thereafter advancing their carrier to Middle school and then to Upper School.
