It was truly ‘No Ordinary Night’ on December 1st, as the students and staff of THE THEATRON presented their enchanting performance, ‘There’s a Baby.’ Re-enacting one of the oldest and most cherished stories ever told, the production brought profound and current insights, all seen through the innocent and perceptive eyes of a child. Themes of devotion, tradition, joy, and, above all, care were beautifully woven into the performance, touching the hearts of everyone in attendance.
The event featured the incredible talents of over 120 children, who performed in two viewings held at the stunning drama classroom of Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, aptly named THE THEATRON. From 5:30 p.m. onwards, the venue was filled to capacity, with an audience eager to embrace the spirit of Christmas.
Both the cast and the audience experienced the true essence of joy—a spirit that transcended the boundaries of religion. The event not only celebrated the festive season but also showcased the immense dedication and talent of the students and staff, making it a night to remember. THE THEATRON truly brought the story to life, uniting everyone in the warmth and wonder of the season.
