Dedicated to the spirit of true sportsmanship, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our young athletes, Manhiru Newmith and Yumeth Kasthurirathna, for their outstanding achievements at the John Tarbet Junior Athletics Championship 2023 (All Island). The championship, held from 3rd to 5th November at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, witnessed these exceptional talents challenging their limits in pursuit of excellence.
In the Under 14 Boys’ category, Manhiru received well-deserved Merits for his remarkable performance in the 100m sprint, while Yumeth earned Merits for his impressive display in Shot Put within the same age category. These commendable accomplishments truly exemplify the essence of sportsmanship and dedication to excellence at Lyceum.
